I need to get this problem solved, other than that I guess I bought a expensive boat anchor!

#Ipicture for intellicarve 1013 how to#

Really need for someone from PhotoVCarve (either one of the programmer or tech support) to give me a hand.Īny ideas on how to email either tech support or a programmer? Not sure if that's where the problem is or not.

The difference is all(most) of the coordinates from PhotoVCarve begins with G1/G0 and iPicture begins with X.

#Ipicture for intellicarve 1013 code#

Didn't get an error when I selected to use it.Īlso, here is part of the code that PhotoVCarve generated:Īnd here is part of the code generated by the program that came with the machine(called iPicture):Īs you can see there is a difference. After looking at the files again, I don't think it's has anything to do with the file extension. Whereas PhotoVCarve generates a FILENAME.NC.

The software that came the unit(iPicture) generates FILENAME.GEE. The carved section was less than 1/8" square.

The same happened when I tried to do the example of the woman that came with the trial version of PhotoVCarve download. Here are the specs that I got from the material that I purchased: So, that tells me that the files that were sent, are the wrong ones OR PhotoVCarve doesn't have the file(s) that support the machine I have. The size of that "patch" was 1/8" of an inch or smaller, when the image size should of been more like a 5 inch square. and then ran PhotoVCarve, copied that file it generated(I just kept the default name)PhotoVCarve.nc copied it to the memory stick, then tried running the intelliCarve 1013, all I got was, not even an image, was a small "patch" that was "engraved" into the wood. When I unzipped the files(iCarver-mm,iCarver-inch,iCarverXinch, and iCarverXmm) to the PostP directory of PhotoVCarve. It is a 1013 intelliCarve, made by a company called Oliver, who are outta Seattle,WA. I was sent four files(from Mark at PhotoVCarve) that were suppose to support the carver that I purchased. Thanks for the reply, but perhaps you have missed the point. I hope that there might be a solution to ease let me know.

I reakize PhotoVCarve is only a trial at this point, but does the full version allow to save the file *.pvc and any other formats? Don't know if that's the problem or not.Īlso, I was looking at some instructions, and they were saying to rough-out the carving, and save it with an extension of *.pvc. The same happened when I tried to do the example of the woman that came with the trial download. When I tried a file that I wanted to see how it would look, the machine only proceeded to carve a section of about 1/8" square, when the dimensions were more like 5"x5" square.

Thank you for the files, you could actually generate the code for the machine. Thank everyone for all your help and assistance, Right now all of the ones that have been done, don't have any depth to them or no perspective whenever you look at them. So if anyone has any type of plugins that work with PhotoShop CS5, or CorelDraw X5, I sure would appreciate it very much if they could be passed along, OR, perhaps there are some videos out on the web that can point me in the right direction on how to get the photos ready for processing in PhotoVCarve. If you have a piece of white translucent acrylic that is 1/4" thick, how much stock should you carve out? How much is actually left over? And when I tried a lithophane on some white acrylic that was translucent, the art work came out really bad. I can view the result, but not actually carve it on the 1013. So I am unable to see if PhotoVCarve can/will solve the smooth line that I'm looking for. Got some *.pp files from Oliver Machine, installed them, but keeps on getting this error:

The trouble with the trail version is, it does have the *.pp files for my particular machine. I'm seriously considering PhotoVCrave, hoping that will solve the problem. If you were to take the example file and carve it on your machine, you would see nice flowing lines and contours(kind a like rolling hills, no "steps") in the end result. I currently have PhotoShop CS5 and am racking my head on how to get the photos to come out right. Some of the examples that came with it came out real good once machined on the 1013.
